One grid connection, three ways to earn from it.

Idle capacity, put to work

Canford's gas engines run off a grid connection that took years to secure and would be nearly impossible to get today. As gas output declined, tem coordinated solar generation and a direct supply line to on-site businesses so all three sources earn off the same connection, instead of letting spare capacity sit unused.

One commercial position, not three contracts

Most multi-technology sites get priced and sold as separate deals, one per technology. tem prices Canford's gas, solar and private-wire supply as a single position against one view of the wholesale market, so a strong solar month changes how gas gets timed, and a wholesale price spike changes how exports get structured across the whole site.

Exports managed, not fixed

Wholesale export prices move constantly, and passive fixed-price contracts do not capture that movement. tem actively manages when and how Canford's generation is sold, chasing the best achievable price rather than accepting a flat rate.

A stable foundation to build from

A stable foundation to build from

Canford now earns from gas, solar and a direct supply to on-site tenants at once, rather than depending on one gradually shrinking source. Revenue from generation is up and import costs are down, with pricing that is actively managed and explained rather than fixed and left alone. That stability gives Rob Dowding's team the confidence to keep investing in a site that has already run for nearly 30 years.
