Energy costs fell by 25%

RED™ removes the wholesale market layer, letting Silverstone pay closer to the true cost of electricity. Over the first year of our partnership, that delivered an estimated 25% cost saving compared to what the circuit was paying before.

95,000kg of CO₂ removed

Silverstone now matches its electricity use directly with UK-based renewable generators through RED™. In the first year of the partnership, that translated to 95,000kg of CO₂ saved and measurable progress against its Shift to Zero sustainability strategy.

Full visibility on every unit

Silverstone can now trace exactly where its power comes from and demonstrate that traceability to fans, partners, and governing bodies. That transparency sits at the heart of what Silverstone committed to with its Shift to Zero programme.

In its first year after switching to RED™, Silverstone has cut its energy costs by an estimated 25% and removed 95,000kg of CO₂ from its footprint. The circuit now powers the full Formula 1 British Grand Prix on electricity matched directly to UK renewable generators. The relationship has since grown into an Official Supporting Partnership, with tem powering the full Silverstone experience, from the drivers on tracks to the teams’ back of house.
