"We moved all four sites onto tem in one go in 2024, because the price came in that far below any other quote we saw. When renewals came round, Chris at Assured Energy showed us how tem's numbers stacked up against the market and we took the deal both times, early. The estate's locked in through 2029 and we've saved a market cycle of procurement work as well."

What made Mason & King move the whole estate, twice
A price below the market
tem's Renewable Energy Direct removes the wholesale trading layer, so the price Mason & King saw was closer to the true cost of the energy itself. Across all four MPANs on the initial October 2024 tender, tem's quote came in significantly below every competing offer Assured Energy tabled. [TBC — £X below next best over the initial 12-month term.]
One decision, four sites
Rather than trial a single meter, Mason & King committed all four MPANs across their two Leicester addresses on the same start date in October 2024. The whole estate onto one supplier, one billing setup, one point of contact from day one.
Two early renewals, no retender
In October 2025 and again in 2027, Assured Energy compared tem's renewal offer against prevailing market conditions and took the deal early both times, locking the whole estate in through 2029. Two consecutive early re-signs across every site, agreed on the strength of the numbers rather than a full market retender.

Whole estate, locked in through 2029
Mason & King now runs all four Leicester sites on a single tem contract stack, committed through 2029. The saving that persuaded them to move in 2024 is still doing the work today, and each early renewal has swapped tender effort for a straight rate comparison against market conditions.
