Pall-Ex

Pall-Ex is a palletised freight distribution network founded in 1996 by Hilary Devey CBE and headquartered at a purpose-built hub in Ellistown, Leicestershire. annual demand for the Ellistown hub

The Ellistown hub runs around the clock. Electricity isn't optional, and it isn't a small number. Full Power ran the tender for us and tem's quote came in far enough below the next best offer that the decision made itself. What we've paid so far matches what was quoted, which is more than we can say about every supplier we've had.

What made Pall-Ex move its Ellistown hub to tem

A price below the market

tem's pricing engine builds a bespoke quote by matching Pall-Ex's demand against tem's own portfolio of UK generators, so the price bypasses the wholesale market entirely and cuts out the transaction costs that add no value to a business like this. Full Power ran the tender across the Ellistown hub, and tem's quote came in significantly below every competing offer tabled. tem's pricing has tracked around 9% below the market average through the volatility of the last twelve months. [TBC — £X below next best over the 24-month term.]

One hub, one contract

The Ellistown hub is the beating heart of Pall-Ex's UK network. Putting 973 MWh of annual demand on a single tem contract meant one price, one bill and one point of contact from day one, with no site trials or staggered rollout.

What we quoted is what you pay

Transparent invoicing was a specific ask. Every unit rate on tem's supply is traceable and explainable, non-commodity costs itemised. No surprises between quote and invoice, which matters when hub electricity is a line item that finance actively watches.

Pall-Ex's Ellistown hub is now on a two-year tem supply that came in cleanly below every competing quote Full Power tabled. Whichever way the wholesale market moves next, the hub's electricity cost is a known quantity to plan the network around. [TBC — exact £ figure across the 24-month term.]
